Monday Questionnaire: Jan. 26, 2014

Guess who's back at blogging? Me! There's seriously no excuse as to why I haven't been blogging. School just started so I may not be blogging as much. I do plan on doing my January Favorites soon! But I'm back and I'm here to answer some random questions! Let's get to it!

Has anyone heard Lana Del Rey's "Once Upon a Dream"? So haunting and beautiful! 

1. Do you sing in the shower?
Sometimes I do! Only if I know that no one will hear me lol!

2. Gold or silver jewelry?

Definitely silver! I feel like it goes with everything.

3. If you were competing in the Winter Olympics, in what event would you compete?
If were actually good enough to play a sport (I suck at sports), I'd do figure skating. I've always wanted to learn how to skate + look graceful while doing it!

4. Would you rather plan a party or go to a party?
I'm super lazy so go to a party any day, or night!

5. Ketchup or mustard?
Both! 

6. What are you most stressed out about this week?
Homework! I have so much to do this semester! 

7. Would you characterize your weekdays as structured or flexible (or something else)?
A little bit of both. My work schedule is pretty much structured but my social life is all over the place lol!

I'm surrounded by friends. 

9. What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Bagel with cream cheese and a glass of orange juice. 

10. What are three things you always have with you?
My phone, money and hand sanitizer.

Why hello everyone! It has been a while since I've made a blog post here! Today I'm here with some questions provided by the lovely Karen of Makeup and Beauty Blog. Let's get started!

1. Do you wear mascara on your bottom lashes?
I used to but not anymore. I don't have many bottom lashes so whenever I put mascara on them, it looks like I only have two weird looking bottom lashes. Not a good look!

2. Watching figure skating on TV: yes or no?
Definite yes! I loving seeing figure skaters do their amazing routines!

3. What’s your favorite kind of pie?
Pumpkin, apple, pecan, blueberry.....shall I go on?

4. Is there someone in your life who’s always encouraged you to chase after your dreams?
My dad always tells me to do what makes me happy. He's seriously amazing!

5. Besides laughter, what’s the best medicine?
Cupcakes, ice cream and the occasional lipstick!

6. Have you ever dedicated a song on the radio to someone?
No! That seems weird to me.

7. Where do you feel the safest?
My room.

8. Who makes the best drugstore nail polish?
I love China Glaze and Sally Hansen!

9. What shoes are you wearing today?
Old, grey TOMS.

Monday Questionnaire: Oct. 21, 2013

Happy Monday everyone! What did you do today?

1. Do you have a diary? 

I used to back in middle school/beginning of high school. I mostly used it to vent.

2. Best makeup lighting in your house?
My room, especially in the morning.

3. Which do you wear more often, lipstick or gloss?
Honestly, I wear both often. I'm a lip-aholic!

4. With whom do you talk the most about makeup offline?
Definitely my good friend Michelle! I actually didn't know that she was into makeup like me until I posted something on Sephora's Facebook page and she commented back!

5. Does the color of a room affect your mood?
Yes! Bright colors make me feel excited and happy. Dark colors make me feel calm and quiet.

6. Do you have any plants around you at work?
No. I work at a drugstore.

7. Are there any shadows you love except for the fallout?
There's some shadows from Too Faced and Urban Decay that I really love but they just have way too much fallout :/

8. How do you feel about nude nail polish?
I like it! I have very short nails due to biting them and nude polishes make my nails appear longer!

9. If you could be invisible for 2 hours, what would you do?
Can't say ;)

10. What’s your current favorite face product?
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder! I love it to set my foundation!

Monday Questionnaire: Oct. 7, 2013!

Hey everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your Monday! I'm so glad it's starting to get cold here in Orange County! I love wearing scarves, boots, fall makeup and fall food! Especially anything pumpkin! Let's get started!

Trader Joe's + pumpkin = the best combination ever! Yum!

1. What are your favorite TV shows right now?

I love Bones, Castle and Elementary! You could say I have a thing for crime shows.

2. What would you do if you won $10,000 today?

I would save 75% for a car/bills/school and then go on a shopping spree with the rest of the money.

3. What’s the first song lyric that comes to mind?

"Let's be alone together. We can stay young forever." Fall Out Boy 'til I die!

4. Do you have any scars?

I have a medium sized scar on my lower back from a dog bite.

5. What are some makeup or beauty products you buy over and over again?

Maybelline The Colossal mascara, Rite Aid Renewal Exfoliating Apricot Towelettes and EOS lip balm!

6. What’s your favorite place to people-watch?

Either the mall or my school. There's so many interesting people out there...

7. If you could time travel, what year would you visit (but you don’t have to be there permanently)?

1993, the year I was born.

8. If you could pick any one person in history to have brunch with today, whom would you pick?

I'd go with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I'm weirdly obsessed with him.

9. Is there a makeup/hair styling skill you’d like to master?

The perfect cut crease!

10. What movie really scared you?

I hate scary movies! I avoid them like the plague!

Monday Questionnaire: Sept. 23, 2013

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you're all doing okay! I was pretty busy today running errands and cramming for my bio exam (which I totally pass!). Let's get started with questions shall we?

1. How dedicated are you to your skincare regimen?
Very! I'm only 20 but I really want to take good care of my skin.

2. How often do you go to bed without removing your makeup?

Rarely. I do, however, have those moments where I'm just plain tired and want to go straight to bed.

3. What’s your favorite beauty ritual?

Probably putting on foundation weirdly enough. I like seeing my skin go from dull and acne scarred skin to an even, radiant skin tone.

4. How would you describe your style: easy, experimental or excessive?

Super easy!

5. If you color your hair, how old were you when you first started?

I've never colored my hair. Although some people do since my hair is jet black naturally.

6. When it comes to makeup, what’s your biggest gripe?

Blending out eyeshadow! I feel like it takes forever to get that perfect blended eye look.

7. If you had to narrow down your entire fall wardrobe to a single fall uniform, what would it look like?

Dark blue skinny jeans, a cream colored shirt, my green cargo jacket and black combat boots.

8. What’s your go-to purse this fall?

My Steve Madden black satchel.

9. What’s your biggest skincare gripe?

Waiting for results haha! I'm so impatient.

10. What was the highlight of your weekend?

I went to a Fall Out Boy concert on Friday and it was THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! They are my favorite band and I had a good view of them: literally five feet away from the stage! I'll post some pictures below!

Twenty One Pilots was the opening band and they were amazing! I've never heard of them until then and I'm thinking of buying their album! I totally recommend checking them out!

Panic! at the Disco was next and I was so thrilled! I love their music! Brendon Urie was unreal!

Fall Out Boy came on and I was seriously losing my mind! Getting the chance to see my favorite musicians up close and live was definitely one of the best moments of my life! These guys mean everything to me and I'll always love them!

It's that time of the year..... Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

Happy Monday everyone! I finally had the chance to go to Starbucks today and ordered my first PSL of the year! Yum! I can't wait for sweater weather! 

1. Is your desk neat or messy?

Well, I don't have a desk but if I did, it would be neat.

2. One fun thing you did over the weekend?

I was sick all weekend. Not fun!

3. What book(s) are you reading?

I just started reading Storm Front by Richard Castle. So far I'm loving it!

4. Something you keep meaning to do but don’t?

Clean my room. 

5. What’s a typical morning for you?

Wake up at 8, put my contacts on, brush teeth, check my phone, shower, breakfast, head to school or work.

6. Three of the makeup brushes you use most often?

Real Techniques Buffing Brush, MAC 217 and the ELF $1 Eyeshadow Brush

7. What’s one of your best eye makeup tips?

Always use an eyeshadow primer!

8. Something you’ve been loving lately?

Bob's Burger! I saw an episode on TV last night and realized that it's also on Netflix!

9. Any life-changing beauty products lately?

Definitely my bareMinerals Correcting Concealer! It's the only makeup I wore when I was sick and it made me look alive haha!

10. Are you wearing any polish on your toes, and if you are, what shade?

Yep! It's My Personal Serpent from Sephora by OPI. Love this color!

Monday Questionnaire: Aug. 26, 2013

It's Monday already?! It seems like I wrote a questionnaire yesterday, not a week ago! Anyways, how's everyone's day going? I only had one class today so I'm home watching yesterday's VMAS. That whole Miley Cyrus "performance" was just......I'm speechless. What happened?! I could go on and on about the entire show but let's get started with the questions!

No, and I don't plan to.

Like once a year. Not kidding.

Hyperpigmentation, acne and under eye circles.

My hair is in its usual bun, my makeup is similar to my First Week of School look and I'm currently wearing dark skinny jeans, black cotton V-neck with a white tank top underneath and grey TOMS.

Happy Monday guys! Today was my first day back at school and I'm actually really excited to come back! My schedule is loaded with classes so I might not post as often as I would like. Anyway, let's get started!

Crazy.

2. Do you use a mascara base? If so which one?
Sometimes. I don't really notice a difference though.

Yes, but I want to try waxing one day.

I swear by my St. Ives Apricot Scrub! I haven't tried many serums or potions.

I'm still not sure but I really want to do something in the medical field!

How's everyone's Monday going? I had the day off today so I'm just chillin' at home, catching up on some YouTube videos and eating a bowlful of ice cream. Yum! It's been FOREVER since I did a questionnaire but today I decided to make one (courtesy of the lovely Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog)! Let's get started!

Well, I've only had one real job and that's retail. It's alright to say the least.

Probably France. It's approximately 5661 miles in distance! Wow!

Either can't talk at all or start jumping up and down. Maybe both....

Hmm, probably traveling to France, getting involved with my youth group at church and getting my first job.

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've done a questionnaire so I figured I'd do one! I haven't been doing much recently, just work and house chores. By the way, I made an online order at MAC for some of the new Tropical Taboo products and I can't wait to get them! Let's get on with the questions!

1. Do you have to dress up for work?

Just the dress code I have to follow: dark blue shirt, beige/tan pants and black shoes.

2. Do you ever rub elbows with royalty?

Kings and queens? No. Celebs? Possibly...

3. Waterparks: yes or no?

I've never been to one but it sounds fun!

4. Did you do any beauty shopping last weekend?

Just today at MAC.

5. What was the first thing you saw when you opened up your eyes this morning?

Not gonna lie, my phone. It's the first and last thing I see every day. Kind of sad...

Wavy.

7. Are there any glosses in your makeup bag right now?

Yep, a whole bunch of them from Clarins, MAC, Maybelline and Revlon.

8. When you’re not feeling well, do you like to be taken care of or left alone?

Left alone. I hate when people talk to me when I'm sick.

9. Twinkies are making a comeback! Are you stoked?

Heck yes! I love Twinkies!

Definitely cool! Not a lot of cool weather here in Southern California but I enjoy it while it lasts.

Good evening everyone! Hope you're all enjoying Memorial Day today! Yesterday was my birthday and I celebrated by going to Disneyland! It was so much fun! I wore this pin all day and many people said "Happy birthday!" to me, including a couple of cute boys I met in line of Soarin' Over California. Anyway, let's get started with some questions!

1. When you don't set the alarm, what time do you wake up naturally?

Around 9 or 10. I always go to sleep at midnight.

2. How long are your finger nails right now?

Super short. I have a bad habit of biting my nails.

Washing my makeup brushes. I wash them twice a week and spot clean everyday.

4. Would you rather be a performer or an audience member?

I would be in the audience. I like to observe everything I see.

Our family garden.

Mid calf.

Eye shadow primer and filling in my eyebrows. I feel like a brand new person.

Hmm, probably one of the Gossip Girl books. I read those years ago!

Work, work and more work.

Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your Monday! I'm so glad I got today off from work because I worked for five days straight last week, with no air conditioner. If you live in Southern California, you know it was super hot last week. 90 degree weather with no air conditioner = exhausted me. Anyways, let's get on with this week's questions!

By the way, I'm really excited about The Great Gatsby! Meet my TWO handsome husbands lol!

1. Do you have very many baby pictures of yourself?
I have a decent amount. My mom likes to put them in photo albums for us to see.

2. One piece of makeup you wore last weekend?

Maybelline's The Colossal mascara. I can't live without it!

3. Have you ever been on a road trip in an RV?

Nope, but it sounds like fun!

4. Is there a color of clothing you wear more than others?

Probably black just because it goes with anything.

5. Do you believe you have a sixth sense about anything?

I don't think so, but I'm very interested in people that do!

School and catch up on YouTube videos. I haven't been on YouTube for a week!

Wake up early and continue to improve my work skills.

Other than my beloved Maybelline mascara, I'd have to go with Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. It's one of my favorite products!

Just family and friends. I don't have any pets.

Monday Questionnaire: April 22, 2013!

Good evening everyone! It's been a while since I've been here. Weekly blogging isn't my strong suit bit I'll try to post something at least once a week. This week was all about organizing at my house. My whole closet is nice and organized. I even ordered some drawer carts for my makeup and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I can actually see all of my makeup! Enough of that; let's answer some questions!

1. What’s the first thought that crossed your mind this morning?
"Ugh, I can't breathe!"
I woke up with a stuffy nose :/

2. Have you been reading anything lately?
Unfortunately no. I do need to re-read The Great Gatsby before it hits theaters though!

3. When was the last time you wore false lashes?
I've never worn false lashes believe it or not! I want to someday!

4. What are your three secrets to happiness?
- Surround yourself with the people you love most.
- Travel often.
- Buy a new lipstick.

5. Do you prefer eye shadow palettes or single pans?
Definitely palettes. I don't want to be searching for specific colors when I could have everything in one palette.

6. What’s one of your imperfections that you cherish?
None unfortunately :/

7. Has a skincare product ever changed your life?
Sunscreen and Clinique's Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser. I can't live without these two products!

8. Do you like your hair better long or short?
Hmm, I'd go with short. Long hair is too high maintenance for me.

Monday Questionnaire Mar. 25, 2013

Hey everyone! My spring break is officially over and I'm back in school. That went by so fast! I'm here with a set of ten questions to answer so let's get to it!


My mom gave me this puzzle over the weekend and I'm so excited to start it! I love doing puzzles!

1. Have you ever awkwardly slipped or tripped in front of a large group of people?
Yes, in high school. It was raining and I was walking towards the door at a normal pace when I suddenly slipped at a puddle inside. I landed on my back and everyone was just staring at me. So embarrassing!

2. Do you do blue eye liner?
Of course! It enhances my brown eyes.

3. Can you recommend a comfy pair of flats?
Mmm, I'm not sure. I don't have a favorite pair since I go through them fairly quickly.

4. Your current favorite makeup or beauty indulgence?
Lately I've been wearing tinted moisturizer a lot! I love TheBalm's BalmShelter!

5. Did you deal with any sibling rivalry when you were growing up?
Yep and it continues up to this day!

6. I’m excited about _.
Summer vacation! Spring break was just a summer tease!

7. Name a great book you loved so much that you’ve read it at least twice.
Breakfast at Tiffany's by James Patterson. Such a good book!

8. Do you keep the fortunes from fortune cookies?
Sometimes. It depends on how much I like the fortune lol!

9. How often do you do DIY (do it yourself) projects?
I don't think I've ever done one but I've always wanted to do it!

Good evening everyone! Today is Monday and you know what that means.....it's questions time! I love doing these because I like sharing bits and pieces of my life with you guys! You get to know me while I get to know you! Feel free to answer these questions yourselves!

1. Mood: Feeling kind of sleepy. It's almost midnight here.
2. Have you ever flown in a helicopter? No, but I would love to one day!
3. Favorite vacation memory? Definitely going to France two years ago. It was the best experience of my life!
4. Current nail polish: Orly Rage on my ring fingers, the rest is Orly Cotton Candy.
5. What was the highlight of your weekend? None. I worked all weekend.
6. Current favorite song? My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up) by Fall Out Boy. I am so happy they are back together!
7. A makeup brand you've been loving a lot lately? Hmm, I'd have to say Nars. I tried their eyeshadow primer recently and it's the best!
8. What do you order from Starbucks? Grande Iced Caramel Macchiato
9. An item you've lost, and never been able to find? My Gameboy Advanced. I've been wanting to play Pokémon for a while now :/

Monday Questionnaire: Feb. 4, 2013

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've last written a post here but I'm back with new questions to answer! Yay!


I did some retail therapy today and bought a couple of things at Sephora. Haul coming soon!

1) Mood:
Totally relaxed right now. Just watching tv with the parentals.

2) How was your weekend?
I was working all weekend long, even during the Super Bowl. At least I have three days off!

3) Current nail polish:
Nada. I'm letting my nails "breathe".

4) Do you tend to be too hot, too cold, or just right?
I'm always cold. Always.

5) What is your favorite genre of books?
I love mysteries as well as teen fiction. This does not include Twilight.

6) Current outfit:
See above photo.

7) Are you a die-hard fan of any sports teams?
Nope. My dad is a huge soccer fan though.

8) Are you more of an in-store or online shopper?
A little bit of both, but I like to see the product firsthand.

9) Do you go by a nickname/something other than your given birth name?
I have a few that include: Kathy, Kathy White (after Snow White), and the occasional Kat.

10) Weekly goals:
Finish reading The Black Dahlia, study for my Medical Terminology quiz on Thursday, and finish up the plethora of lotions and body sprays I have. I wanted to buy Clinique's Happy Heart perfume today but I told myself to finish at least 5 lotions/sprays. I can do this!

Monday Questionnaire: Dec. 17, 2012

I cannot go to sleep (it's almost midnight here in California) and I figured I'd write a quick little blog post before going to sleep. I can't wait until Christmas, even though I work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Let's get on with the questions!

1.) Mood:
So happy! I finished my last final today so my month long winter break starts now!

2.) In what order do you apply your makeup?
Usually it's primer, foundation, concealer, powder, eyes and lips. If I'm doing a really dark smokey eye, then I'd do my eyes first to get rid of any fallout.

3.) What is one thing that made you smile today?
Watching Elf on tv. I love that movie so much!

4.) Current Nail Polish:
China Glaze's For Audrey

5.) Have you ever had a kiss under the mistletoe?
Nope! In fact, I don't believe I've ever seen one in real life!

6.) Current Outfit:
In ma pj's!

7.) Moment of truth: do you usually drive the speed limit?
"Usually" is the key word here. I'm a Californian so naturally, we tend to drive over the limit.

8.) If you could spend the holidays anywhere in the whole world, where would it be?
I would love to go to Times Square in New York! It looks so much fun on tv!

9.) Do you know sign language?
Only like one or two words.

10.) Weekly Goals:
Sleep in and become more active on my blog.

Hello everyone! The weather outside is my favorite: rain! Perfect for cuddling up with my blanket and watching Christmas movies. Last night was really fun! The city I live in has an annual Christmas tree lighting festival and it was also my sister's 21st birthday. It was great spending time with family and friends. Time to answer some fun questions!



1.) Mood: Clean and refreshed. I just got out of the shower lol!
2.) You call into the radio station to request a holiday song-- which one is it? Definitely Michael Bublé's "Winter Wonderland". It's my favorite song from his holiday album.
3.) What is your ideal handbag size? If I'm going to school, I like to carry a big bag so I can put my textbooks inside. If I'm just going out with friends, I like to carry a small crossbody bag.
4.) Current nail polish: Sephora by OPI Under my Trench Coat
5.) What is the last fragrance you wore? Vera Wang Princess. It's amazing!
6.) Current outfit: Dark washed jeans and my Florence + the Machine concert tee.
7.) Which snow activity do you prefer: building snowmen, making snow angels, or snowball fights? I love building snowmen! I've been up to Big Bear in California once with my family and it was an awesome experience!
8.) What is your favorite restaurant cuisine? Definitely Mexican and Italian. I can't live without tamales and pasta.
9.) Can you whistle with your fingers? I can't even whistle with my mouth ha!
10.) Weekly goals: Study for my finals and countdown to Christmas!

Monday Questionnaire: Nov. 12, 2012

Hi everyone! I have the day off today and decided to lay in bed and watch Netflix all day. Sounds like a plan! Anyway, today is Monday sooo, time to answer some questions!

1) Mood:
I feel very relaxed. I've been working 8 hour shifts for four days straight and I'm so glad I got the day off!

2) What is the last song/album you purchased?
Imagine Dragon's Night Visions. I love them to death.

3) The best video game system ever is __.
Gameboys! I still use mine on a regular basis!

4) Current nail polish:
Essie Bahama Mama

5) How many times did you hit the snooze button this morning?
Zero. I don't use an alarm; only when I have to get up early for work.

6) Current outfit:
Tie-dye shirt and black sweatpants, AKA my pajamas.

7) What is the furthest distance you've ever driven?
Around 80 miles, which is from where I live to Tijuana, Mexico.

8) You can only use one mascara for the rest of your life-- which one is it?!
Definitely Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express mascara! It's my HG mascara.

9) If you could have a $1000 gift card to anywhere right now, where would you choose?
Costco, hands down! I can buy everything I want/need in one place.

10) Weekly Goals:
Organized my makeup collection. It's a huge mess!
