Top 10 Under $10!

Hey guys! Long time no see! I was just watching Youtube videos in between classes (like always), and I realized that I haven't done a post on here in a while! So I decided to get productive and make a post for you guys! Yay!!! I never realized just how many makeup favorites I have that are $10 and under! Anyway, without further ado, here are my top 10 in no particular order!

1. Maybelline The Colossal Mascara ($5-7)
If any of you have been reading my blog, then you would know that I mention this mascara A LOT! It's pretty much my holy grail mascara, and I have tried a ton! I have short, puny lashes and this mascara helps make my lashes look longer and thicker! You can easily take it off with some makeup

FOTD: First Week of School!

Hello everyone! If you read my last post, you'll know that I started school this week! My classes will definitely be difficult but what college class isn't? My makeup this week can be described in one word: simple. I used a BB cream to even out my skin tone, under eye concealer, powder, light pink blush, mascara, liquid eyeliner and a light pink lipstick. Below is a list of everything I used.

1. Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray (before foundation and after all my makeup)
2. Physician's Formula Super BB Cream in Light/Medium
3. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder in Light/Medium
4. Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush in Natural
5. Jordana Best Lash Extreme mascara
6. L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black
7. Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 345 Light
8. L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse in Sunset Angora

I just realized that almost every product I used is drugstore, which is good for us college students! Until next time!

July Favorites!

I'm seriously going to say this but I can't believe that July is basically over! School is just around the corner! This month I've been using some things that I've mentioned before. I do however have some new products to show! Let's get started!

1. I have been loving the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin this month! I bought in early May in the shade Medium/Deep and at first I didn't like it. It was too dark for me at the time. However, I tried it again early this month and I absolutely love it! It has a matte finish and it lasts for well over 8 hours. Just one touch up and I'm good to go! I'm not sure if I will use this during fall/winter but for summer, it's amazing!

2. For some reason, my legs are lighter than the rest of my body so I decided to try out the St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion. I got it inside Sephora's annual Sun Kit this May. I tried this for my brother's graduation in June and my legs seriously looked awesome! They actually matched the rest of my body! For reference, I'm about an NC 35 in MAC terms. This does set quickly so you have to work fast. It didn't transfer onto my clothes and lasts all day! Love it!

3. Lately I've been using cream eyeshadows by themselves because I want my makeup to look simple. The one product that I've been loving is the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst! All I have to do is swipe it on my entire lid, blend and head out the door! I own four of these and I absolutely love them! I do however have to prime my eyelids because they are extremely oily. Other than that, if you're looking for a great stand alone color that don't crease, I totally recommend these!

4. I've talked about this product so many times but I truly love it! My go-to pressed powder has to be the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder! I have it in the Light to Medium shade. I have try this over many foundations and it keeps my skin matte all day long! It's perfect for you oily skin girls out there! The powder is fairly pigmented as well so I can get away with using it as a powder foundation! I can't live without it!

5. Another product that I have shown in my favorites is the bareMinerals Correcting Concealer. I use the shade Medium 1. I love how creamy it is! It doesn't settle into my fine lines either! I use it more as a corrector for under my eyes since it does have some peachy undertones to it. I use this and my Rimmel Match Perfection concealer and my under eyes are completely covered! I've already hit pan on it so I plan on repurchasing this product pretty soon!

6. The one blush and bronzer I've been wearing pretty much all month long has to be my ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer Powder! The NARS Orgasm/Laguna duo looks similar to the ELF one. I love the warmth both the blush and bronzer give me! They give the perfect summertime glow! I've made quite a dent into this duo so I can't wait to hit pan on it soon!

What were your favorites this month! Until next time!

May Empties!

Hey everyone! I've come to realize that I've never posted an empties blog post before! Well, all that is about to change because I am about to show you guys my trash! I've got to admit, it was a bit difficult for me to keep my "trash" because I immediately want to throw it away. I'll see if I can keep this up. Here are my empties!

1. eos Shave Cream Ultra Moisturizing Pomegranate Raspberry: This product was just a miss for me. It did smell nice but I had to use a lot to cover one leg, about 6-8 pumps. It does not lather so the consistency is rather liquid-y. It was basically a waste of money. I won't repurchase this item.

2. Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser: I absolutely love this cleanser! I have combo-oily skin and the foaming part of the cleanser really helps to clean my skin. My breakouts have lessened significantly ever since I started using this product! I will definitely repurchase this product!

3. Bath and Body Works Triple Moisture Body Cream in Enchanted Orchid: This isn't really a empty because it still has about 50% left. However, this lotion went bad on me. I bought this over four years ago so this definitely expired. I really loved the scent though; floral and fresh. Too bad I let it expire. I think the scent is also discontinued too. Bummer! I will not repurchase this product.

4. Neutrogena Oil-Free MoistureCombination Skin: This moisturizer was just okay. It didn't make me go "wow!" What I do like about this moisturizer is that it is lightweight. But I feel like it doesn't absorb into my skin quickly. It takes about 20 minutes for it to absorb into the skin. That's way too long for a lightweight moisturizer. I will not repurchase this product.

5. Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara Triple Effect: I love this mascara, especially the waterproof version! I wore this to my high school graduation and I've loved this ever since! The wand is kind of weird: it has short stubby bristles on one side and very long thick bristles on the other. The bristles really help to separate the lashes and add volume and length. Plus, this mascara does not budge at all! I will definitely repurchase this mascara!

6. ModelCo FIBRE LASHXTEND Lengthening Mascara: This was the worst mascara I've ever tried! I got this in a Birchbox a while ago. The first time I used it, I noticed little flakes within two hours. After four hours, I had raccoon eyes. I don't know if it's just my mascara but it had a really dry formula. I will not purchase this mascara.

7. L'Oreal Voluminous Full Definition mascara: This may be my HG mascara, right behind my Maybelline The Colossal mascara! This gives my lashes amazing length and volume! It lasts all day long with no smudging and it holds curls perfectly. I will definitely repurchase this mascara! In fact, I already did!

8. Physician's Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum: This is my HG liquid eyeliner of all time! I have oily lids so I need something that will last a long time without it smudging all over my eye. This is perfect! I love the brush tip because it helps you control how thick or thin you want your eyeliner. It stays all day ad I love it! I will definitely repurchase it!

9. Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer: I have tried many primers and this one is my favorite drugstore eye primer! I'll admit, it doesn't last as long as my beloved NARS Pro Prime but Palladio is a close second! You can find Palladio products at Sally's Beauty Supply. It makes my eye shadows stand out and there's no creasing for the whole day! I will definitely repurchase!

10. Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance Makeup in Medium: I liked this tinted moisturizer. It evened out my complexion and gave a little bit of coverage. What I don't like about this product is that oxidizes on me a little bit. I might repurchase this product.

Those were my empties for the month of May! Til next time!

February Favorites 2013!

Hey everyone! These are the products that I have been loving this past month! Mostly makeup but I do have some random favorites, both pictured and not. Let's get right into it!

I've been loving my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder. I'm in the shade Light to Medium. It's perfect for setting my foundation! It leaves a demi-matte finish which is great for my oily skin. This can also work as a powder foundation because it does have a medium coverage. I'm very pleased with this product!

The blush I've been wearing almost every single day in February is Wet n Wild blush in Heather Silk. It's a matte berry color with a pink undertone to it. I love this blush! It's a perfect pop of color for the cheeks. Most people would say that it's more of a winter shade but I can wear this all year long. It's affordable ($2.99), very pigmented and lasts all day long!

I have tried many new mascaras this past month and the one that I really enjoy using is the Revlon Lash Fantasy Total Definition Waterproof Mascara. HOWEVER, the only part I like about this mascara is the primer side, not the actually mascara. The mascara would smudge all over my undereye area after an hour of application. Definite fail. The primer on the other hand, made my lashes look long and thick. I've used the primer with other mascaras and it gave my lashes length and volume. I wouldn't repurchase this though because of the mascara.

If I could only own one liquid eyeliner for the rest of my life, I would have to go with Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum. This is seriously the best liquid eyeliner I've ever used. What I love about this eyeliner is that it has a thin brush tip which I prefer than felt tips. The tip helps to make your eyeliner super thin or thick. It lasts all day on my eyes and it's the darkest black eyeliner out there. I would definitely repurchase this!

The next three products are all lip products which include Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Dolly, Korres lipstick in 45 Coral, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet. I've included some swatches below.

From left to right: Korres lipstick in Coral, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet, Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Dolly.

I've been wearing the Revlon lipstick with the Buxom lipgloss for work and I love it! It's a perfect work lip combo! The Korres lipstick is perfect for Spring/Summer.

My Visine for Contacts eye drops have been a total life saver for me! My eyes have been really dry this past month and I decided to try some eye drops for my contacts. My eyes feel so fresh and clear after using these eye drops! Love them!

As for not pictured here, I've been loving Fall Out Boy's new single "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up). They are my favorite band ever and I'm so happy that they're back from the hiatus. It sucks that I didn't get tickets for their L.A. concert :(

So that wraps up my February favorites! What where your favorites this month? Until next time!
